On September 24th, 2024, a virtual meeting was held with partners of the RECC-LUM project, involving HAW Hamburg University, University of The Gambia and WASCAL Competence Center. Professor Walter Leal from the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (Germany) opened the meeting with a welcome, highlighting the importance of teamwork. Team Gambia shared updates on their progress and successful local partnerships, while Team WASCAL reported on advancements in communication and visibility related to the project. Team Hamburg addressed administrative challenges, focusing on budget and resource management for RECC-LUM. Looking forward, Team Gambia plans to expand training programs and outreach efforts, while Team WASCAL plans to develop new initiatives to increase the visibility of the project . The meeting concluded with a discussion on funding opportunities and the importance of maintaining open communication among all stakeholders.
